Impeached sa Kamara

VP Sara Duterte

Futbol

Out ba o nasa guhit pa?

Anyway, sayang may late goal sana last minutes, pero talagang ganyan. Nakagoal tuloy Thailand sa extra time.

Noon politika, business, padrino, paboritismo, iso, dribble dribble, feeling NBA.

#DamingSinayangNaPanahon

Bueno, di man 2024 Olympics, may 2028 pa.

Mabuhay.

The PBA Should Learn From The NBA

 NBA Finally Admits

<English po para sa international audience. The NBA is tbe oldest professional basketball league in the world. The PBA is the 2nd oldest.>

The NBA finally admits that it is not 1992 anymore. Or at least US Team Coach admitted to this.

Manila FIBA Worldcup 2023

The USA cannot just get a selection of NBA players, have their best players sit out, do a couple of weeks practice and expect to bulldoze their way and win every single game, caring not who they will face and that they can win comfortably by 20-30 points every time.

Noah Lyles is right... World Champions of what?

Hastily formed USA Basketball Teams have not won a medal in the last two FIBA Worldcups, this year included. They placed 7th in 2019 and 4th in 2023.

NBA coached US Teams have not won a gold medal in almost 20 years. This last happened in 2010 and 2014 and these teams were not coached by an NBA coach but by a colegiate coach.

The US Team is not ranked number one in the FIBA World Ranking anymore.

Gilas, Philippine Team

The SBP and the PBA now have to admit the same as well. Gilas cannot even comfortably win in the Southeast Asian Games anymore.

NBA and PBA rules and style of play are not the same as those played in FIBA sanctioned games.

Does someone really have to tell the SBP this -- it's not 1954 anymore.

It's 2023 but the SBP still thinks they can form a team in one month and win. This is just plain insanity and hubris.

This is the main reason why Gilas Coach Chot Reyes has been heavily bashed in social media and booed in sports arenas.

Problems

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. These games in Manila should have been the best opportunity for Gilas to get it's best finish since placing third in 1954, to qualify outright to the 2014 Olympics, or at least to be the best or 2nd best placed Asian team. And we cannot even do that.

Favoritism, nepotism, personal interests, vendetta, hard headedness, pride, lies, politics and a history of excuses and blaming others -- these describe Coach Reyes and there are much more not to like about him. There are a lot of crazy things about him that even Gilas and NBA player Jordan Clarkson does not know about and some fans of Coach Chot deny.

Coach Reyes' era is over.

In the words of previous Gilas Coach Yeng Guiao "napag-iwanan na tayo, kailangan na magupgrade ng coaching".

Bayan, gising!

Aminin

Walang palakasan at padrino padrino.

May Dahilan

Judging Coach Chot Reyes

This is the time to judge Gilas Pilipinas Program Director and Coach of Senior Men's Basketball Team.

Coach said one year ago, in 2022

He said in 2022, when he was losing left and right and when he was prioritizing the PBA over his Gilas duties, to judge him in the World Cup.

He said he will soon assemble the best team.

He said, these were all a learning experience.

He said, they don't need to win.

Fast forward today, one year later, he said they cannot win against Italy.

He said he didn't select or benched certain players because of this or that or whatever reason.

This is all on me, he says.

He was always front and center and the face of Gilas. And now it's time to jump on his sword.

Diva, Drama, Dribble Drive

He has been the most vocal coach any Philippine team has ever had. He is also the most polarizing, Filipino basketball fans either love him or hate him, and for good reasons.

Wasted Everything

He has wasted this once in lifetime chance. Gilas could have been 2-0, instead of 0-2. Gilas would have had a fighting chance to qualify outright to the Olympics next year.

There could have been a bigger pool of players, more players would have wanted to play, there could have been a better program and better preparation.

Gilas could be going up in ranking instead of slipping down. Other teams would be fearing them instead of laughing and making fun of them.

The Gilas program could have been as exciting, gaining fans and full of promise like the Philippine Womens National Football Team (Filipinas) who finished in 24th spot in the last FIFA Womens World Cup, a team who won one game in that World Cup and climbed up the FIFA Rankings.

Nose Bleed Na

Yes this is all on you.

Thanks For The Memories

It's time to get away from all these which doomed the Gilas Program.

1. Politics
2. Personal Interests
3. Favoritism/Padrino System
4. Nepotism
5. Unprofessionalism/Brawls
6. Dribble, Attack & Kick out/Lack of Plays/Lack of Preparation
7. 6-7 Man Rotation
8. Do Not Adjust In Game/Late in Adjusting/Match Up Problems
9. Hard Headedness
10. Failure to Keep Up with the Times

It's time to say what Coach Yeng admitted:

Napag-iwanan na tayo. Gising!

Kaya Binoboo Si Coach Chot
